Bananas Foster Ice Cream Sundae - NO CARE AND EASY

This is a fun crock pot recipe to do with your kids.  It's not diet food, but it is fun for a Monday ice cream treat to celebrate summer.

Cooking tool:  Crock pot or slow cooker

Ingredients:

14 bananas-peeled and cut lengthwise in half
1tsp cinnamon
1 stick  melted butter
1 juiced lemon
Zest this lemon and add the zest to the juice.
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup brown sugar
2 tsp rum (you can use vanilla if you want to avoid the rum)

Vanilla ice cream for serving.

Directions:

Set aside the bananas, and mix all the other ingredients together in your crock pot.  Now, place the bananas in the mix and coat the banana halves with the butter mix as you place them in the pot.  Cover the pot and cook this on low for 1-2 hours.  Serve this with a scoop of good vanilla bean ice cream and you will have them all screaming for more.

Have fun this summer!

Family Blessings,
Abi
